Thank You, Mom

Thank you, Mom, for the precious gift of life, you have given us. For the unconditional love you bestow upon us, and for the endless support and encouragement you offer. Thank you, Mom, for always being present, and for the guidance and care you provide. For loving us when we seem unlovable. For accepting us as we are and motivating us to be better, still, thank you, Mom.

Thank you, Mom, for all your selfless acts, for the grace and the dignity you exemplify, and for the woman you are. Thank you for creating a family and a home life that was stable, filled with love, laughter, hope and security. Thank you, Mom, for setting the bar high, expecting great things, teaching values and instilling compassion, empathy and forgiveness, through your example.  For being a soft place to fall, and our rock to lean on, when things became too difficult to bear.

Thank you, Mom, for teaching us right from wrong, acceptance of others and of ourselves.  For giving us joy and the means in which to cultivate it, continuously, in our lives, through your philosophy of living. Thank you, Mom, for letting us be silly, creative, free-spirited, stubborn, headstrong, determined and completely free to be ourselves.  Thank you, Mom, for withholding judgment, establishing guidelines and setting clear expectations.  In doing so, you have given us permission to learn what we need to know, to be productive and happy people.

For knowing just the right thing to say, or when we just need someone to listen. For the pat on the back that propels us, or the gentle prod that gets us moving in the right direction, we thank you, Mom, for always giving us exactly what we need. For knowing us and loving us like no other, and for always remaining our greatest supporter in all that we strive to do and to become, we thank you, Mom, from the bottom of our hearts!  You are cherished, admired and loved more than you’ll ever know.
