The sun is always shining during the summer months, casting out warmth and light. Summer is a fantastic time of year, but it can be taxing on your skin. UV ray exposure, heavy sweating, and shock from travel will beat your skin up. However, there is always a way to protect your skin and help it flourish.
Now that fall is quickly appraoching, you should have a set skin care routine for both morning and night.
In the morning, your routine will be light and breezy. After brushing your teeth, use a foaming cleanser to refresh your skin and remove any impurities. Then, if your skin is not too sensitive, use a toner for locking out any dirt that’s encountered throughout the day. Next, pat on some light eye cream and moisturizer. Never skip this step as it nourishes your skin and, interestingly enough, prevents the production of extra oil. Finally, add some formulated sunscreen used specifically for the face. Sunscreen is incredibly important. Just walking from your house to your car can cause irreparable damage, resulting in serious problems down the line.
Throughout the day, spritz yourself with a facial spray. These mistings ensure a refreshing radiance and glow. Mario Badescu Skin Care has three fantastic sprays that are full of natural ingredients and sold at an affordable price. Each one is catered to keep you comfortable and luminous.
Summer is also a common time for traveling by airplane to reach our ideal destination. Recycled air, followed by exposure to unfamiliar air, creates the perfect breakout storm. If you are getting on a plane, consider purchasing an oil barrier to protect your skin from explosive acne. These barriers lock in moisture which is often stripped away during flights. Should an oil barrier be out of your price range, bring a travel sized facial spray on board, misting yourself every few minutes.
Also, take extra good care of your skin while abroad, as your face is trying to adjust to the new air. Drinking a lot of water, using your facial spray, and packing a face mask or two will really save your skin.
Your nighttime routine will help repair any minor damage that will inevitably be inflicted during the day. When washing your face, use a deep cleaning cleanser and, twice a week, an exfoliator. These will leave your skin clean and soft. After washing, use your toner to lock out dirt. If you are having a breakout, this is when to add a spot treatment. Two or three times a week, you also may want to apply a face mask, be it a sheet or a clay mask. The tip is to, make sure you apply toner first, so your skin is more receptive to all the benefits of the mask. After this, apply a serum, to add good oil back to your skin. Then, a heavier eye cream and moisturizer. Finally, use a facial spray and get a good nights sleep.
Water, sunscreen, and facial spray will keep you and your skin healthy and happy this summer.
