Thursday, September 6th marked the grand opening of Prestige Adult Center in Huntington, New York. The Huntington Chamber of Commerce along with members of the community came to show their support of Host and Executive Director, Sheree Miller. Town Supervisor, Chad Lupinacci along with Democratic State Senator candidate, James Gaughran, were in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Along with a staff member from U.S. Representative, Thomas Suozzi’s office, who presented a special Congressional recognition. Following the opening ceremony, guests indulged on sushi prepared on-site by a sushi chef, pasta, salads and more, while learning about the great amenities Prestige Adult Center has to offer for the senior citizens of the community.
The goal at Prestige Adult Center is to enrich the lives of our senior citizens. With multiple activities to choose from such as: Arts & Crafts, Memory Training, Music Therapy, Local Excursions and more; the Adult Center is designed to help keep the citizens engaged throughout the day.
At Prestige Adult Center, they honor local Veterans and plan to give back to the community in any way possible. Beginning this month, they will be collaborating with the VA to honor local veterans. They will be hosting a monthly luncheon at the center. Call for more information.
