Yes~ “Pulled Pork” for your ~4th of July celebration! Easy~ prepared in a flash! Let’s celebrate our nation’s Independence Day with a sizzling backyard gathering. Invite family, friends and neighbors for this delicious crowd-pleasing recipe, truly one of America’s all time favorite meals.  Display your Grand ol’ Flag and let the festivities light up your yard and fire up your spirits. I promise making this recipe is simple, easier than American~Apple Pie! (Good idea for desert…hmm) Homemade coleslaw or a really good one to top these sandwiches and good bakery rolls or buns and you’re set.  Trust me even our “old friends” from (1776) would be proud!!!

1 7-8 lb pork boneless shoulder roast
(I get mine at Costco (fresh meat dept)) in 1 big piece ~
approx $18.00. Then I cut in ½ so to fit into crock-pot.
    Serves 12 +
2 Large Vidalia onions sliced
2 teaspoons paprika
1 t cayenne pepper
2 Large bottles of “good” BBQ sauce
(Costco 2 pack “ sweet baby Ray’s BBQ sauce”)
A dash or 2 of liquid smoke flavor
(all natural concentrated hickory flavor) optional
1 t kosher salt
Fresh ground black pepper
Good Bakery Rolls or Buns
Homemade or good cole slaw.

Put cut roasts into slow cooker with onions, and all ingredients (1 bottle of sauce for cooking) Cook on low slow and long approx 8 hours or so. When fork tender~ remove from crock and set onto cutting board. Shred meat with 2 forks. Strain onions and discard liquid. Add meat and onions back into crock with new sauce, coat to your liking.

Have A Happy 4th of July!
XO Denise
