I have always heard fantastic things about Naples, Florida and now I know why. We visited there for a few days in March, and it was a wonderful respite from the hustle and bustle of the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

Some travelers view the prospect of being bumped off of an overbooked flight as their worst vacation nightmare. For our family, it’s an opportunity that we are thrilled to take advantage of. To us, an overbooked flight translates into the airline giving out free travel “money” to anyone that is savvy enough to be flexible about their travel plans.

If traveling more is on your resolution list, there are many affordable ways to do so. Without being a travel agent, a “points” guru or breaking the bank, it’s possible to see the world.

Travel is one of the greatest gifts to give. Experiences and memories outlast the things we stow away in jewelry boxes or the attic. The gift of a memorable experience truly keeps on giving.

Oh what a mistake I made thinking that Lisbon was just a four day city. So much to see, eat and do that it warranted way more than those measly four days that I had allotted.
