Mother’s Day is the ultimate day to show mom how much you appreciate her and everything she has done for you.  It’s not always about spending money on gifts or flowers, it’s about showing your appreciation for her just through planning a well thought out day.  If you really want to show how much you care, make the day memorable for her.  Plan an itinerary, filled with places and/or events to visit throughout our beautiful Island.  Here are a few ideas to plan for a perfect Mother’s Day weekend.

33rd Annual Dutch Festival:
Hofstra South Campus, 1000 Fulton Ave, Hempstead

Jump start the weekend with mom and enjoy the great outdoors.  The United Church of Rockville Centre is hosting a Mother’s Day Plant Sale and Spring Fair on Saturday, May 7th  from 9am-3pm.  The fair will feature wide variety of plants such as: Annuals, Perennials, vegetables, hanging baskets and more to help expand your mother’s garden.  Makes the perfect gift!  Baked good and collectibles could be found there as well.  It’s the perfect way to spend the day with mom.
