UNWIND AT THE BEACH

Coopers Beach–easily accessible from Southampton, is rated one of the best beaches in the US. With its soft and easy to walk-on white sand, this quiet beach has snacks, chairs/umbrella rentals, and lifeguards along with the perfect surfing waves.

GO WINE TASTING

Wölffer Estate Vineyard (perched between Southampton and Easthampton), has been committed to producing premium, distinctive wines, ciders, and spirits since 1988. Whether you enjoy a delicious wine tasting – paired with your favorite cheeses – or purchase a bottle for take home, you’ll be happy you stopped!

VISIT THE MONTAUK LIGHTHOUSE

Take a trip to “The End” to see the infamous Montauk Lighthouse, which offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. For a full tour of the historic site, plan your trip accordingly based on hours and dates of operation. Or, if you’re not looking to climb up 137 steps to the top, you can still explore the grounds and gift shop (open daily).

ENJOY SOME SEAFOOD

The retro styled seafood shack better known as, The Lobster Roll, has a huge LUNCH sign which makes it hard to miss when driving on Montauk Highway. They have two locations: one in Amagansett and one in Southampton. As the name says it all, if you’re looking for a legendary lobster roll, this is the place. On their menu you can find delicious lobster specialties, “Fish of the Day,” signature seafood classics and much more!

BIKING

This is the best way to explore all the small communities and their quaintness. Dune Road is a nice scenic route, as is Gin Lane in Southampton–both offering great water views and luxurious homes. Rotations Southampton is your “One-stop shop for everything cycling in the Hamptons,” providing bikes for all ages. www.rotationsbicyclecenter.com

GO ON A HIKE

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is a 305-acre, non-profit nature preserve, which offers seven miles of trails that run through a network of forests, ponds, and a pine grove. Home to native New York animals (permanently injured wildlife that require human care for survival), you just might see bobcats, bald eagles, falcons, hawks, fox and other creatures on your visit.
