A mother’s love is a priceless gift we each receive, as we enter this world.  It is the first love we know, and one that sustains us our whole lives through. A mother’s love is singularly unique, incomparable in its many qualities. It is borne out of supreme sacrifice, complete selflessness, extreme devotion, unbridled enthusiasm, and a deep and abiding need to give, without ever asking to receive, in return.
A mother’s love is unconditional, overlooking our shortcomings and finding, instead, the flawless beauty inside each one of us.  It is all knowing, all encompassing and always, life-affirming. A mother’s love teaches, builds confidence, informs and enlightens.  It lifts us up when we are down, and always helps us find the “silver lining” in the oft-encountered “gray clouds” of life. A mother’s love is ferocious, as it serves to protect and defend, at all costs. It is also the most gentle, in its ability to be compassionate, empathetic, understanding and forgiving.
No matter where we go in life, how old we become or what we achieve, the love of a mother is a treasured part of our living and learning experiences. It shapes the very essence of who we are, and who we strive to be. A mother’s love is the closest thing to Heaven on earth, and a gift to be cherished each and every day. Truly, there is nothing quite as magnificent and glorious, or special and beautiful, as the love a mother gives!
