What’s hotter than a 90 degree day with humidity and direct sunlight?  Balayage without perspiration or frizz!  This summer’s hottest trend (surely will last into next season and beyond) is hands down a favorite hair trend to go naturally lighter for the summer!
Balayage is a salon favorite used by skilled stylists specializing in color.  It is a free hand painting technique, usually focusing on the top layer of the hair,  painting downwards towards ends, resulting in a more natural and dimensional approach to highlighting. Color that we can “look forward” to growing out and yet thrive in the present.  One of the many perks about balayage hair color, is the ease of transitioning to longer lengths.  It's super low maintenance compared to other coloring techniques and grows out naturally and beautifully.
If you are starting out as a blonde, balayage will be a seamless transition. Natural highlights and lowlights intermingle throughout the hair. A very soft and subtler way of obtaining a golden or platinum blonde. You can go for a full head of blonde playful locks or a sunkissed frame around the face. Beachy and natural or chunky severe sections will provide dramatic intense looks; either way possibilities are endless but the upkeep is not. This look will be leaving you with hours of summer play, parties, and beach bbqs.
For cool toned sandy blondes to light browns, balayage will give you the look of a natural two month seaside vacation. Results, a perfectly accented natural looking color effect. It’s all in the arrangement of color to follow the technique shade to maintain a glossy yet melded look.  Darker shades may keep a slightly warmer root shade and gradually integrate lighter shades throughout the head. Whether your sandy or light brown hair color is sporting a shorter choppy summer cut, long locks, wavy locks or even extensions, you will radiate with a subtle sunny cool toned melting of your darker shade into a lighter one. A golden brown that looks almost luminescent.
No worry for dark brown or chestnut hair color.  The transition is beautifully fluid with a serene yet lustrous finish. Waves of carmel tones infused into your darker hair will naturally promote a subtle situation. Even dark mahogany toned hair can slowly fuse into a light brown or ashy shade of summer blonde. Roots can remain on the darker side while all new levels of light are cast upon our beautiful summer color do’s.
Take the summer plunge and dive into refreshing new shades of color.  Balayage will give you an effortless presentation and natural beach vibes without all the sand. An investment worth every penny that will have heads turning throughout the summer and right into the falling of the first leaf!
